A2A Agent Card

An A2A Agent Card is the discovery document used by the Agent2Agent protocol. It describes an agent’s identity, endpoint, capabilities, authentication requirements, and skills so another agent can decide whether and how to communicate with it.

For most SEO websites, A2A is not required. It becomes relevant when the website operates an agent, marketplace, support assistant, booking assistant, commerce assistant, or workflow automation endpoint.

What It Contains

  • Agent name and description
  • Service endpoint
  • Supported capabilities
  • Skills or task types
  • Authentication requirements
  • Input and output modes
  • Version and provider information

When a Website Needs It

Consider an A2A Agent Card when your site does more than publish content:

  • It accepts agent-to-agent tasks
  • It can negotiate or complete workflows
  • It exposes a support or commerce agent
  • It needs trusted inter-agent discovery
